This isn't my real speech, but I thought all of my fellow CP Swifties would enjoy learning about my platform in this way. Comment with how many Taylor Swift easter eggs you found in this post - IYKYK
With the fire that occurred, it was a cruel summer for the CP community. But I know all too well that this community has a reputation of coming back together stronger. As your Student Council President, I'll be a fearless leader with a platform built on these 5 pillars. Are you ready for it?
Community Service: Giving back to our community will never go out of style, and we should do more of it. Through integrated service & learning opportunities, one day - we will be remembered.
Student Engagement: It's important that there isn't any bad blood between the students and our teachers. I want to give students a voice with a suggestion box to hear all of the great ideas from all of the masterminds at CP. I'd love to hear all of your wildest dreams. As your President, there would be an invisible string, tying you to me.
School Spirit & fun: Whether you're cheer captain or on the bleachers, there are plenty more opportunities for us to show our school spirit and have fun. If the teachers band plays a concert, I'll show up at their party.
Balanced Workload: There are so many signs that having a balance of academic and non-academic learning creates well rounded adults. Too much required homework is casually cruel in the name of being honest.
Campus Beautification: Clover blooms in the fields. Spring breaks loose, the time is near. Our campus would benefit from more student artwork and beautiful things.
